Hydrotherapy is exercise based in water. We are very fortunate to have access to specialist hydrotherapy pools in both Guildford and London. These pools are specially equipped and allow a member of the team to take patients through an individually prescribed exercise program in a warm (pools average 34 degrees) and safe environment.
You do not need to be able to swim. Many exercises can be done standing up, even holding onto the side, if necessary. For those already comfortable in the water there are many exercises which can be done floating on the water either with or without buoyancy aids.
